Thinking about getting a muffler

I was wondering how much a decent muffler is, i want to do that SR20DET Swap on my S130 FB but not this year i think, so should i just put a 3 inch cat back on mine as a start?

I wouldn't do anything if you're planning on a DET swap. A 3" pipe on your N/A motor won't be a good combination...no backpressure at all. If you want a muffler, I would just get a cheap universal muffler and put it under there until you complete the SR swap. Actually, I wouldn't do anything at all. Just be patient.

Also, I'm not sure about this....but you would probably have to mod any 3" pipe you put on the KA to fit the SR when you swap it in.  I doubt that the manifold on the KA and the manifold on the SR are located in the exact same place.

I would recommend you wait as well.

I don't think the manifold matches up the same either, but it could be modified to though.

I might buy a super turbo muffler from autozone(im not kidding) then it will be race to see if it rusts out before i can get the SR swap
