when the time comes i will spend as much money as possible on my wheels, as long as its what i want...luckily, the wheels i like arent that expensive. i am looking into getting some blitz Z2's, Gram light Pro's, or SSR SP-1/Work S1-3piece...there are alot great looking rims out there!
i especially hate it when people put cheap rims on a really nice looking car, it just messes up the whole flow of the car.
If you want some great looking rims that are expensive as hell but worth it in some peoples' opinion...HRE has some nice 3pc wheels!! but sometimes they look a little wierd on some jap. cars.
IMO, i would stick to the higher end JDM brands..Nismo, Blitz, Advan, Work, SSR, some volks(getting played out hard by lots of knock offs, but almost everything has knock-offs now days), and WEDS...


are you getting new rims NITEKIDS??you should look at some Blitz 03's, or maybe some Work VS-KF's in GM. or some Bronze Nismo wheels would look sick! i should be getting some new rims next month...and then i am getting my G4 kit and car repainted

i just wouldnt go for the Volk GT-C's though...i have seen way to many knock offs, and there are too many better looking 5 spoke wheels out there, like gram lights, SP-1, S1's, blitz Z2's..What i want to see is some nice split 5 spoke wheels on an S14...like some Work VS-SS or Blitz type 03's...

but for nitekids car, i would go with some SSR SP-1's, or some bronze TE37's with a nice low offset....you say you already chose though...so what did ya get??? :confused:

Now to test my memory. The car is Dave from TougeFactory's brother's car. I forget what he hit, but atleast those wheels weren't on. I do believe they are 18x9 18x10, might be 8/9. The rears have 225/40/18s on em.

Next time I talk to Dave I'll get offsets for ya.

Well for my current setup, with 4 bolt, I would rock Panasport C8s, 16x9 all around, with about +17 offset, and some camber, rocking some fender rolloin.

Then If I were to get 5 bolt, id rock Demon Cambers, untill I had $ for some really nice wheels like

I agree with you 100% Eric. I believe the HRE's or FIKSE's are a much higher quality wheel than the "JDM bling" wheels. But, companies like HRE and FIKSE do not make wheels that are appealing to everyone in terms of looks. I mean shit be honest, none of these guys are getting wheels for functionality, there listing there dream wheels. Personally I don't really care to spend much on wheels cause I scratch/bend/trash them on the track and off. If I had a dedicated track car, sure a set of FIKSE's would be in order, but my car is also my daily driver so I nee to be able to beat the shit out of cheap rims such as FNO1R-C'c or RPO1's and such. The only thing I care about wheels at this point is brake and coilover clearance and price, style is last.

Aaron, HRE's are not ugly. Again this is all subjective...

if everyone knew where HRE's facility is and what kind of people work there and assemble the wheels are gonna shit their pants...
it's the same facility that I-Forged uses and lots of other "wheel" companies....

the wheels construction that are produced arent that bad, but for the price u pay, it should be the best manufacturing plant out there....it's just a fucking name to appeal to the "high end" bling bling boring people that think HRE's are be all end all of wheels..

surprisingly there was a good article in one of the stupid US magazines like Import Racer or SCC (forgot which one) but it showed and explained the entire wheel making process at the RAYS foundry....... the technology and crazy quality control is far beyond HRE's facility

I believe I introduced Ken to Aaron at SEMA? Didn't I? Oh well, he was hanging out with us at Signal's pit there for a demo. And I remember Aaron was around..but I can't remember..lol! He's in Sexy Knights which is a crew of him and his friends which several compete in D1. The FC (blue here..now it's the 787B green and orange/red scheme) and S13 (black in pics but now red) are brothers.

Since I introduced Henry to those wheels and have no intention of having them before him, I would also love to have them on my onevia. Either those or SSR Agel Minervas. 17x9 +10 F and 18x10.5 +11 R (iirc that is what the Sexy Knights guy runs as well.... just perfect i tell ya)

I don't really like wheels with huge lips, stretched tires, or bling so I'd be happy with either red/black super advans, or some Kosei K1's in Anthracite which I don't even think they make any more. size would be 16 x 8. I' haven't seen those wheels since tnord posted pics of his car.

my offset is +35 and I don't think these were available in any other offset....except +40.....I THINK. However Buddy Club P1s are available in more offsets....just not that color.
