I was looking at just a simple cone kit (retaining stock piping) for my 1998 S14, I don't really wanna mod the crap out of my engine, so is this worth the money ($70 is what I was looking at for a price.) I want (and probably couldn't hurt ) to get a new air filter. After the CAI discussion in the tech section, I'd just assume opt out on that whole thing. Should I get just a new cone or just the insert?
Pros n Cons anyone?

Spend the bucks, get a K&N cone mass air intake. It's the best, it's easy to clean and really helps you with your low end torque (the engine doesn't bog down while reving low).
The CAI can come later. I just installed a piece of aluminum flex tubing ($5 at hardware store) and connected it to the ground below my running lights and up to the cone.

make sure you get a cold air intake if your not going turbo. cold air intakes go all the way down to the bottom of the car

What all is needed for swapping the stock air box/filter with a K&N Cone filter, besides the filter itself? Do i need an Adapter of some sort?

I believe you'll need one for the filter. Adapters run some $5-10 or so.
