Lets say bail is set @ $50K, you need 10% up front ($5k) ON TOP of collateral like Pink Slip to a car that is worth at least $50K or a house.

Honestly, if it was me, I would just do the time, save some money, especially with non-violent crimes in the LA County jail system, people are getting out serving 10% or less of their time. But if it was a violent crime, goodluck.
