ummmm......since the KA24DE comes out of the 240.. and the 240 is RWD.... i dont think there will be a problem locating a RWD KA, and i don't think there's any FWD KA's, are there?

you seem confused.... he needs a motor. he has a 240. so he needs a RWD KA. but he cant find any RWD KAs, so he wants to make a FWD KA fit. yes they do exist, altimas have them.
to answer your question, im almost positive they are different. highly doubt it will even bolt into the chassis, seeing as how the motor mounts would be on the wrong side on the engine.

yeah I'm with stupid.
I don't think the FWD ka fits, but I don't know that much about it, and I'm sure very few people are intimately familiar with both engines enough to tell you.
I guess you could compare the the bell housing bolts and the engine mounts, and see if they are the same... but for an out of the box answer, I'd tend to think, no, they probably aren't interchangeable, and if they were I'm sure you would have to use RWD mounts, intake and exhaust manifolds, etc...

...transAXLE is the word. The engines also sit differently. Think about it...

yeah, the engine mounts are located on the front end (timing chain end) and on the transaxle. it would be kinda hard to bolt a motor mount between the block and the radiator...

In general, it can be done with some custom fab work and a little bit of patience. AE86 20v swap comes to mind, which goes from a fwd into a rwd car. As for the ka, I don't think you want any fab work or patience for something this irrelevant.
