So it has been about a 3 years since my Silvia has been put down, and well now it is time to revive her. I got someone to drop the engine in for me but now I am looking for a place or person to help me out with the wiring harness. I have an S14 body with an S14 sr. Also I need some real insight that I have not found anywhere else. I am going to install a Z32 MAF in and I have read that you need to get an ECU in order for the car to run. Since I am a broke college student and have already spent about $3500 dollars on engine and parts, I wanted to see if there is a cheaper alternatives like a ECU flash. This would only be a temp. fix until I get enough money for an Apexi power FC. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

If you waited 3 years to get it going, im pretty sure you can wait a bit longer til you save up enough the power fc.

lol. do the wiring yourself if your broke. its not that hard. all the information is online!

z32 MAF. you would need to get your ECU flashed to support that MAF. go with enthalpy or jwt.

or y not just get the correct MAF for your car?

I did not find the maf for the stock sr20 and the MAF i found was super cheap so went that route also you can get a little more O2 in your engine which is always a plus. I have seen the info online for the wiring harness, but i do not understand how the diagrams work. So i do not want to risk cutting the wrong parts.

you can use a KA24E maf instead. if you want to use the z32 maf, you either need a ecu to support it (like someone mentioned) or a SAFC with the correct maf settings.

wiring is super easy, you just move the wires at the pin location on the F3 plug. extend a maf, ac, and o2 wire.

I was thinking about taking my car there so I might actually just get a stock sr20 maf until i have money to put on the z32 maf
