I went around town today kinda getting some prices on a tune up and i went to Nissan and asked them if they would put Bosch Plat's on there, and he said that the car would not run right with them cause it was not made for platinum or Bosch plug's. That only NGK would work well. I thought Bosch 4's were the best plugs out there and i didn't think it would matter. Is he right or is he just telling me this in order to sell his product?? THANKS

Densos are pretty good. I don't think they're worth $15.00 per plug, though. And if you have them, you better be pushing some major power. I had my mechanic (at the Nissan dealership I work at) install some Bosch Platinums on for me. I switched to NGK three months later, just to try them out. I liked the NGKs a lot more, I have to admit. Bosch ones are still pretty good. NGK is great for imports, that's all...

I just tried a set of platinum 4's and then engine wouldn't rev past 4500rpm suddenly. Best to stick with the ngk or whatever your local Nissan dealership sells. Nissan builds very touchy motors.

I use the +4's platinums in my 97 240 and i have had no problems with them yet,i had the ngks when i first got the car but i took them out to check them and they were completly black so i went and tried to get some more but no one ever has them when i need them.I just did a complete tune up on my car and a complete brake job as well.I changed the front rotors both and all the brakes on the car changed the oil as well along with the oil filter and it runs better. But hey its what ever you realy want to spend on plugs the +4's are like 4.99 each and i dont know how much ngk's are but i will try them next time.

NGKs are like $1.50 or so a piece. I can get them for cheaper then they'd normally sell (I work at a Nissan dealer.) Let me know if any of you people want any. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

I used Bosch +4 in my 97 ... nothing wrong, however, didn't notice any change to the hp or torque.

I might be wrong... but I could have sworn I had NGK Plats in my car.... have a bunch of regular NGK plugs lying around tho, and I'll probably switch to those when the turbo is in just so I can do the gapping myself.

#### those stupid dealerships. My dad gets sparkplugs from Nissan for his 91 NX2000. They're NGK, but they're also platinum. Anyone telling you they won't run right with Bosch plugs is wrong. It's true some vehicle don't function well with different plugs. I put Bosch' on my old Mazda, and it didn't do shit. I put them in my Nissan (got tired of ho hum NGK), and there was a performance difference, plus they last longer. Go to autozone, or other store and have them cross reference the NGK number to a Bosch +4

booster...tune ups vary between shops...the basics are plugs, (wires if needed) and checking your fluid levels...that's pretty much all it is...
