key ring light on s14.

So I have this key ring light that I got for my s14 and I want to make it turn on when my headlight switch is turned over once (corner lamps and instruments lights on)

Problem is a bunch of people say the red/blue wire is power but there is 2 of them. And i tried both but the light had full time power when grounded on steering column. Can someone help me achieve what im trying to do. Thanks.

I asked the same thing not too long ago, people told me to tap into the dimmer switch, I have yet to do that though.

The dimmer switch? Doesn't make sense ill try when I get off work I guess.

yea its very easy, tap into anything that turns on with the light switch. or with the key to power on accessories. however you want to have it power up,use a power wire for that certain situation.

the dimmer switch only works when headlights are turned on.so the key ring only comes on with headlights on.

Yup, just tapped into the dimmer switch today, and it works. Whenever I turn my lights on it turns on the key ring as well.
