well it depends is your car an early OBDI S14 or OBDII S14. If its an OBDII S14 the you would need the later speed sensor as Nissan changed things in the clusters.

All S13 and early S14's use OBDI though Nissan switched over to OBDII in mid 95 ahead of when it was mandated due to the way they do their production runs. They start next year's model run in our summer months for marketing purpose's.
