Description:
Up for sale kinda seeing if I can sell it as Im in need of a T4 manifold and to modify this one might entail more than I think so Ive decided to see if I can sell it off. Its a custom topmount tubular manifold pretty dang close to equal length as well. Open scroll T3 flange and currently flanged for a 38mm wastegate. The manifold was originally built for a rwd SR but I used it on my fwd and repositioned the wastegate tube. To use it on the rwd again all you need to do is reweld on a 90 deg tube and point it downward to mount the gate at a downward angle instead of directly toward the strut tower which is the way its currently set up. Shouldnt cost much to do

As for the wastegate, its a Tial 38mm wastegate standard 2 bolt flanges. It has a 1 bar spring in it. It does have some minor dings and scrapes on the top hat but nothing serious. It also doesnt come with the top fitting as I ran it with just the lower fitting on. The gate functions just fine and is leak free, just cosmetic damage. Ive owned it for 3 years now and no issues. Selling it cheap only because of the cosmetic damage on it.
Images:
Placement of my t67 h.o. turbo on a fwd SR but you get the idea. Shouldnt have any problems clearing the rwd SR as its not much different and by the looks of it, it should clear the power steering as well but that is not 100% sure

On a last note the manifold head flange is also ported out to match the manifold gasket. The manifold flows really really well and is made out of high quality material and welds are top notch. Was making roughly 650+whp on this manifold with no indication of high backpressures. Selling to upgrade, that is all.

Last price drop. I wont go any lower, need this gone but not gonna give a nice manifold away.

$420 shipped paypal fees included to your door in the lower 48 states for the Manifold and Tial 38mm wastegate. Dont bother asking to go lower than that. Thats already a steal for both items.

Thanks RB, its a nice manifold for sure. Just dont want to risk cutting it up to try to make the big turbo fit and ruin it.

As it sits right now the manifold could possibly fit without having to reweld the flange facing downward. It all depends on how close to the tower it comes. I havent been able to test fit. All i can say is that it would be close and possibly not have to be modified but that is not for certain.

Bump to the top.

Also two people now have asked me whats missing off the top of the wastegate. LOL, have you not seen what a tial 38mm wastegate looks like? Its the top fitting as I explained. I was not using the top fitting of the gate nor do i have it. I was only running the bottom fitting on the underside of the diaphram. Setup kinda like an internal gate. One single line, with a proper sized turbo the gate hold 1 bar of boost set up that way. Keeps it simple. This gate can support up to a 60 trim turbo without having too much boost creep up top. 50 trim turbo or smaller works flawlessly.

The treads are still there for the upper fitting i just dont have it.

Again wont go any lower on price.

I've seen the top fitting but since you're using it without it I was wondering what purpose the fitting serves. I have never used an external wastegate so pardon my lack of knowledge.

Yeah im using it without, there is an upper and lower fitting. The lower is still in place and pushes up on the diaphram opening the gate just like how an internal gate would work.

so by that I take it the top fitting would push down to open the gate and therefore either one can be used but not both at the same time?

ashtonroche

no, top fitting pushes down trying to keep the valve closed, you can either run the gate with the bottom fitting only or both fittings together with a boost controller in line with the top fitting.

Wastegate is sold.

Manifold is still for sale. Im going to have some good pics taken of it. Looking at the clearance room of an s13 and s14 and the positioning of the flange so close to the head flange as well as centered and slight angle down of the wastegate tube and being positioned close to the collector, im almost certain it will clear without rewelding the flange. I wish i had a 240 to fit it onto but just going by the looks of it, it should clear and sit underneith the brake master cylinder and not come into contact with the strut tower.

Again im not positive im just going by eyeballing here and what i know the 240 has for room as ive done several sr swap into them both 13's and 14's. Again at worst case you will have to reposition but not likely.

$350 shipped for the manifold by itself.

Manifold is made of 304 Stainless Steel Schedule 10 1 1/2" ID tubing and 304 SS collector. Again top quality material, sturdy as hell, and never have to worry about it cracking or breaking.

This is a custom hand made piece not some cheap ebay SS manifold.

Had a couple people ask what material so figured id post it up as well. New pics coming soon
