Everyday I see this commercial about some thing called the tornado that you throw in your intake.  Has anyone actually tried it.  I wonder if it actually works.  I'm not one to jump on things that are on infomercials but if it works, Hey I'll dish out some cash for it

I've looked into them.  They're expensive but should work.  However, the two hp they provide isn't worth 60 or 70 bucks.  I would think someone could take a couple saw blades and put those together to swirl air.

hmmm...i'm not 2 sure about this. if u want more air (colder air 2 for that matter), get a cold air extension for ur intake. on the other hand, i'm kinda curious to do it myself or see someone that has it done.

they advertise it on tv by putting two bottles together and showing how the tornado effect lets the water go through, but you have to remember, that it's only air going through the intake. It doesn't make a difference.

The idea of the spinning air makes it go faster (why your manafold is designed the way it is IIRC) which is cool and all but the little gain in air speed caused by circulation on your intake would most likely be canceled out by the tornado device itself...
