fs/ft: 93 gf8 drift project

sooo this will be the second one i post on here, the last one moved pretty quick so hopefully this one will too.

its a 93 impreza wagon swapped with an ej22 from a 92 legacy converted rwd. i just rebuilt it and it barely has 1000 miles on it right now, the body has 230k.

ej22t internals,new rings, bearings, honed cylinders, decked heads, new valve seals, head gaskets, intake manifold gaskets, short block was hot tanked, ect.

the heads were tested by metric motors up here in salt lake and i have all the receipts for parts and what not.

other mods are:
full turbonetics t3/t4 turbo kit with an external delta gate and big top mount, type s style bov.
not sure the mileage on it since it was on the car when i got it but the turbo is gonna need a rebuild shortly, its started smoking on boost like 4 days ago but i dont really drive the car much so it shouldnt get much worse right now.

13 pound f1 racing flywheel, exedy clutch and pressure plate
walbro 255
wrx gas tank
wrx pink injectors, i think they are 480s but im not sure (not sti's!)
front and rear wrx brakes
wrx rear subframe with factory lsd diff and axles
full turbo back exhaust but i have no idea the brand
blitz sbbc boost controller
wrx front and rear seats and carpet
legacy snowflake 16's (i was told they are semi rare but thats hearsay.)
kyb shocks and some crap springs (wasnt me... id have gone with coils like my last one and not wasted my time.)
most of the interior was changed over to grey but it still needs door panels, ive got a dash for it but i havent swapped it out yet.

body shows the typical wear of a 93, some rust in the rear wells. i was gonna do flares so i wasnt concerned. and theres a little around the windshield.

no major dents or dings, drivers side clear is shot and would need to be redone if you really cared.

the scoop was added on a stock "L" hood so it was just cut and bolted in, didnt bother me when i got it but you could always swap it for the obs/rs hood.

im sure theres some things im forgetting and will probably update this randomly as i remember stuff.


ive got a ton of parts laying around and also have another ej22 that would need rebuilt, and the stock 1.8 that still runs. also have a bunch of tires sitting around and if you wanted them id fit as many as i could depending if you wanted the engines. my last one would hold 13.

as far as a price ill just say something stupid like 5k obo since im not set on a price yet but im more so looking at a trade, just know the car has alot of potential, time, and money into it. you could drift it or it would make an awesome dd.

as far as a trade, im pretty open to them at this point. i wouldnt mind something vip, another drift car, even a nice reliable dd.


also the car can easily be converted back to awd if thats something your interested in, ive already got all the parts lined up just in case.

clean title in hand, 5 speed manual, power locks and windows, spare hatch if you want it, factory roof rack setup, i thought of a few other things i forgot to add in my post, if i remember them ill post them up.


interior 7-8/10
exterior 6-7/10?

also if interested i got an offer from a friend for a 2.5rs subaru, i dont remember the year and im waiting for him to send me pictures.

but its got 175k on a salvage, bone stock except for some agx strut, he said paints 1/5, body 3/5, interior 3/5.

if anyone is interested in this as a trade i can get the car from him and meet up somewhere to make a trade.

stock transmission I'm guessing?

did you basically weld center diff and remove front axles except for stubs to prevent tranny fluid leakage?

does the stock wrx lsd lock very well?

yeah the stock trans and welded center diff.

i only took it to one event and that was with the 1.8 and didnt drive more then a few laps, if i remember the wrx is a vlsd but with the 2.2 it does seem to lock up pretty nice but i have actually taken it out to slide.
