The speed sensor is on the tranny the one closest to the driveshaft. The one for the temperature it's by the upper radiator hose should see a red clip and next to it is a black slide on clip!!

ok i see that now, and its plugged in, but theres another white clip that is closer to the motor. its plugged in too but its spliced in and has a connector cap on it. looks kinda sketchy? idk what that is? i followed the wires everything looks ok but im not sure why its not reading. i swapped my gauge cluster to the dual cam too. anything else i could check to see why temp isnt working? im not as worried bout spedo. also i have a aftermarket temp gauge but not sure how to tap that in. is it fairly simple or should i have a shop do it?
thanks for the quick reply too!

well im going too install an aftermarket temp gauge. but i cant find the right sensor adaptor. the radiator hose is 1.35 i believe. but the radiator hose adaptor is in mm. so if anyone can help me find the right mm adaptor id appreciate it. also if you know of a good accurate gauge?
i was gonna go with one of these adaptors

i think the wire your pointing to is for the sensor that goes in the header. I don't think that would affect your spedo or temp tho.but I could be wrong. I'm pretty sure thats what that wire is tho

The wire that is cut in the first picture is just the 02 sensor wire, that will not effect the gauges at all.
Easy-32mm converted to inches =1.25" so yes if the rad hose is indeed 1.35" then that adapter will work just make sure to tighten the clamps down good.
Wiring up the gauge is easy should probably only be 2 wires run one out to the sensor that the gauge comes with which will be mounted in the adapter and the other is a power wire so just tap into one of the wires near wherever you mount the gauge. If you are not familiar with electrical work at all then yes take it to a shop i would guess no more than a half hour of labor to perform the install.

ok so im not sure if its a 240 thing or what but check what happend to me today. i took my power steering pump off today because the pump is bad. didnt feel like putting the new on until i get new steel braided lines. so i took the belt of. not thinking + my first 240 + clutch fan - belt. you should know what happend next. im driving down the road and all the sudden my temp gauge is working. so im thinking ok kewl i fixed it. needle was right in the middle where normal would be. then i start seeing steam rolling from the passenger side.
hhhmmm not normal. i pull over, pop hood sure enough. over heating. so i get it back home and im looking it over cause its never done this before. i was stunned for a second because temp gauge was normal. then i looked at the fan. no belt to drive the fan.
-_________-
so put the new pump on just as a tensioner for right now till i get the lines. topped off coolant runs fine not overheating, but no temp gauge. its like if it doesnt read its fine. if it does read its over heating! wtf?! sooo i think im gonna get a temp gauge after all.
