what's up guys, it's been a while since I've posted (like anyone has noticed! haha) but instead of a 95 240, I am now considering a 89-90 Coupe.  I know, somewhat difficult to find, and SOHC.  Plan is, get a big beater, for a project car, store it at my dad's, work on a few things here and there, etc.  Now, for the questions.  How cheap you guys think I could grab one?  I'm not asking for one in immaculate condition, just something that runs, needs a little work here and there, and could do as a project car?  This is my real plan, get one for cheap (whatever you guys suggest, I don't really look into 89-90 coupe prices!!)  anyways, grab one of those.  I have a Sentra right now (91), and I'd use that as my daily driver and work on the project car while still driving the Pimptra right.  After I get the exterior good to go (nice wheels, good tires, maybe some springs), then sell the Sentra, and hook up with an SR.  Now I know what you're saying, "Just another guy who wants an SR swap and it won't happen."...I am highly considering this as a project if you guys think it's a good idea...anyone?  So, goes like this in a short way of putting it, 1) Get a beater and do some work, 2) Do some exterior body work, 3) Wheels, tires, springs, 4) Sell the Sentra and grab an SR.  And by the time I sell the Sentra and buy the SR, I'll have a tad bit more money on hand.  So, anyone think this will work?  Sorry it was so long, but yeah, prices on 89-90 Coupe also?!  Thanks ahead of time!

u have to keep that sentra when ur doing the swap because the likely hood is that u WILL need a second car during the process.

I got an 89 Coupe for 1200. However it didn't run, but I didn't want one that ran. It is hard to find coupe's, when I was looking, I found a lot of red automatic hatchbacks. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> Good Luck, and I'd keep another car around if your planning on doing the swap, I'm not sure if that's what you meant, but as long as that sentra keeps driving, I'd save up the cash to buy the engine without having to rely on selling your daily driver.

i always thought that coupes were hard to find, thats why i bought one, but now they can easily be bought at trader.ca for less than 4G's canadian, they come and go quite frequently now

I considered doing something to my Sentra, and that's another option of mine. &nbsp;Playing out my Sentra. &nbsp;not much to play out about it though! &nbsp;I did find some wheels that would look halfway decent, and some springs to drop it an inch or two. &nbsp;ka24et...lead me to the way where I can find an SR for my car, and I'll check it out. &nbsp;is the GTI-R SR swap the Blue Bird fwd swap? &nbsp;ka25et...tell me some more about htis GTI-R SR swap for my Sentra...I might be interested into considering something right now! &nbsp;bing...is that just like trader.ca.com or what?

i have a 99 se with a sr20de in it and i was always looking into the det and gti-r swap possiubilities but its auto so i scrapped that and solidified the projests of sr on my 89 coupe. btw i bout my 89 coupe for 800 it ran need a t chain and the hud didnt work. all of which have been fixed.

I'm no SR expert but I believe the SR that came from the Pulsar GTI-R (which is the engine you would put in a FR engine swap), is as common a swap into sentras, 200sx, nx2000's as RWD SR's are into 240's. Also the GTI-R SR is supposed to be the toughest of the bunch. Due to solid lifters, and some other stuff the SR guys would know about. Due to the B13's light weight combined with a potent SR, the result is almost unbeatable on the streets. If you have a 2dr, it would be a sweet swap. As long as you took pride in the rest of your car as well and got coilovers and some nice rims ($$$$$$$)

thanks guys! &nbsp;yeah, mine's a 2dr. &nbsp;and I did find some rims that I think would look pretty nice on my ride. (Motegi MR7's, Gunmetal) the color of them would match my car so perfect. &nbsp;I have a charcoal car, and I mean it would match sweet. &nbsp;well I'll see what type of research I can do about this GTI-R swap into my Sentra, and look up some other things as well. &nbsp;I like that one, not too bad looking. &nbsp;so what does that one run? &nbsp;8's, 11's, or 12's? haha

man, it took me a while to dig up this old thread, anyways. &nbsp;ok, I have a question about the GTI-R and the Blue Bird SR20. &nbsp;the Blue Bird seen here (http://www.unstable-hybrids.com/fwdsr20detnoneinstall.html) is top mounted intercooler. &nbsp;could I get me some custom bent intercooler piping and make it front mount? &nbsp;and of course get a larger IC if needed or if it would even fit. &nbsp;where can I look up the specs on the Blue Bird SR and GTI-R? &nbsp;I couldn't find any specs at unstablehybrids. &nbsp;anyone?
