I have a pair that I started building for my car and decided not to use them. I still need to do a final sanding and prime them. They made of 3/4" plywood and fiberglass. The hold a 6 1/2" midbass and 4" midrange. They will be primed and ready for paint. I have some pics if anyone is interested in them I'll finish them. A shop would charge $300-500 for these.

Did you build those for your 89? Has anyone ever built kicks for a 97-98? Looked quite possible. I glassed my tweeters into the back of my mirror (the trilangluar black trim pieces) it looks sweet!!

Yeah i used 3/4" plywood as a form and angled the speakers then layed glass, layer of bondo, and smoothed with red putty. I'm still smoothing a few last air bubble holes but should be done next weekend. I was doing this huge stereo in my car and my truck but opted to throw it all in the truck and strip the car for more speed.

Good sound beats good speed. You can't use speed, but sound is good. Speed will just get you tickets.. =P

Oh well sound can get tickets too. It's noise pollution. Any sound in excess of the rated amount in the city limits. Quite a few of my team mates have gotten cited. I have always hit the switch and shut everything down before they knew who it was. That and you couldn't hear my car when your close to it, only from inside or a long distance.
