Looks like the answer is going to be: wait until you're 18.
If you need parental consent, and your parents won't give it to you, then you're going to have to be content with just spectating.
Please don't try to find a way around it, either. It puts everyone at risk and jeopardizes any further drift days.

All I'm going to say is, you do what you gotta do to get what you want.

You would be best to check first to make sure. It would suck to get your hopes up, or worse yet, your wallet emptied, just to find out you're not able to do anything

That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. What you're basically saying is that it's ok for him to open up an organization to a host of legal and liability issues, as well as endanger the safety and lives of many people, just because someone can't wait one year.
The entire point of events like this is to provide a legitimate and safe venue for people to drift. Encouraging someone to dodge rules is essentially pissing on the shoes of the people trying to break the negative stigma drifting has to begin with.
I hope you remember that moronic line of thinking when someone steals something or does something to you: after all, according to you, they're justified because they wanted it.

Happy New Year to you too soulDistortion. Would you like a banana for your vagina? Calm down, I'm not here to argue with you.

HEY Stop the arguing!!!
Holistbeatz....what you said could get a LOT of people in trouble. BIG TIME. Especially Moto. Why get him into trouble? He has worked his butt off trying to give US a place to drive and drift....I can understand where you were coming from...but, seriously, that was not an adult awnser to be giving a 17yo minor. I havent had any problems with you before, and I don't want to. Please don't take this wrong. :)
Dori2....have you asked your parents yet if they would sign a consent form? Talk to them an explain what it is, show them the website. Tell them why you want to go to DD12. Don't lie about it, cuzz it will only get you into more trouble when they find out, or worse if you wreck the car. Talk to them...you never know, they may sign the consent form! :) *edit* also, e-mail Moto, ask him if you DO need parental consent...he is a nice guy and I am sure would be more than happy to e-mail you a reply!
As for everyone else...don't be telling people to do stuff that is illegal, or could get people in trouble! That could fall back on Zilvia...and we all do not want Mark getting into trouble!

What exactly is DD12? I'm guessing a drifting group like scca? Is it just a primarily a SoCal event?

2 events? In Chicago??
Where did you hear this?
An event was planned but fell through due to timing, but there are going to be at least 5 events in chicago area held by ClubFR.net.
If you really want to you could probably end up having an event every weekend if you live in the midwest. Some in Chicago, some in Minnesota, some in Indiana. Possibly Wisconsin.
I won't go into more detail so PM me if you need more detail.
