Aftermarket = illegal? What kind of crap is that?!?! If that's the case then why don't any of these jacked up trucks with glasspack mufflers ever get pulled over?
Cops can suck my (_(_);;;;;;;;D

I've never been pulled over in CA for my GReddy exhaust. It's funny some of my friends got some heat for their exhausts and I never did. Their exhausts aren't any louder than mine. My cousin also has a GReddy exhaust (yea..I followed the family tradition of owning GReddy products) and he hasn't gotten hassled for anything despite the fact that his car used to have a Zeal body kit and 3-piece wing a few years ago, plus his car was red. I keep thinking cops would only hassle people if they were more obvious looking, but I guess I was wrong.

I just got my N1 single no pigs on my tail yet! All of a sudden I have a fan club of civic racers chasing me! (cool he he the exhaust did the trick!)
No silencers I hate those things. I want to be loud.

Double check the laws in your area, anything other than stock being illegal is bullshit. Exhausts wear out, and will be replaced with (guess what), something not stock!! Cat and resonator may be required, but I'd look into the laws and fight it if I were you

dont worry boys.... some of my friends know cops
Since were on the topic, do they have silencers for the n1 dual? Thats the exhaust I'll probably end up getting (eventually) and I've never seen them for the dual only the single. also, do they look weird or are they mostly in the muffler?

If I remember correctly, they are the same silencer. Aren't the mufflers on the dual the same as the single?
I don't see how they possable could be :o
but I was looking around srswap.com and they said it comes with a silencer that can reduce up to 7db...sounds good to me.
Still how does it look, i've never seen one with a silencer on.

yea, they have silencers for the N1 Dual, but u need to get 2 (obviously). I know Apexi makes at least 2 different sizes of silencers (70mm and 110 i think). They cost round $45-55 a piece if i remmeber right but i never actually wanted to get any since i love the sound of my N1 Dual

the silencers take the whole purpose of the exhaust away right? they make it restrictive IIRC

Well, they increase backpressure, which will improve your low end at a sacrifice of of high-flowing top end. Silencers would really be ideal for daily driving.
Yeah, they cause more back pressure...dono how much though. I'd never pay $50 for them :\ but it would be nice to not be really loud ALL the time just when actually driving hard (above 4500 rpm). So i'd just take them off when I went out to drive hard but leave them in on my daily drive to work. Then again, I'd get tired of it after a week and just leave them out full time and have just wasted a bunch of money so...like I said I wouldn't get them...not for that price.

According to Apex, they don't cause any loss of high-end power, but do give you some mid-range torque back. I bought silencers for my Dual. I'll let you know how it is once I get it on my car
