Yes, thanks to DSC, I now have a 240sx shifter. It's about 4 inches shorter than my current truck shifter. I'll be fiddling with it tomorrow. I'll keep y'all posted on whether or not it works.

Hey man,
You want to buy a nice hardbody? You can slap all of your engine stuff in it. I have a really nice 1992 hardbody totally decked out.
17x8 konig nr-n wheels
Shaved tail-gate with Supra conversion (tails)
Shaved emblems, antenna.
Alpine SEC-8063 alarm.
Motorized flush fiberglass tonneau cover (extremely cool)
The engine is still totally stock.
The car is painted in PPG Viper GTS Blue Pearlcoat.
The front end is all custom, new custom grille I fiberglassed some 9850 PIAA fog lamps (dual-beam) into the stock turn signal location.
It's also lowered 2" in the front with spindles and 3" in the rear with blocks. So it still sits quite high on the 235/45HR17 Goodrich Comp T/A. The interior is flawless..
If you know anyone who is interested it's a sweet little hardbody!!
I can snap some pictures of it if you want!!

I appreciate the offer, but I just can't stand lowering and decking out trucks. More power to you if you like it, I just never developed that taste. I use my truck for hauling gravel and romping on dirt roads at 80+ mph.
####, you oughta put some engine stuff on it and make it run better, since you put all that work into the aesthetics. Most of the shit I've done is simple as anything. The only internal mod I'm contemplating is a camshaft, which is still mild in the scheme of internals. Hopefully the camshaft will come in the next month or so. All the stuff I've done to it is on the website, if you're curious.
You know, I am curious about that custom grill. If you got some pics, post 'em. My current grill is kinda banged up.

Hey man,
I know how you feel. After spending 15 grand on it I realized that hey! I could have just bought a 240. So I bought my 240. ... for 15 grand. Kinda backwards thinking. But nevertheless I have this 240 I need to sell. If you aren't into custom you probably wouldn't like this grille. It's not on the truck anymore because I do not driving it. The "shop" that built the bracketry for my motorized tonneau scratched it, and I still haven't taken it back out there, so it's just all dismantled in the front of my house, until I take it out there. If you really want some pics of it I'll get them!
I have dual exhaust cut out of the side of the body with some custom alumnum trim-out on them... you might think that was kinda cool.
Hah

As far as money I don't know. I need to get it all finished and see what I can get on eBay. Some people said I could get $10k. I don't buy that for one second. I'd like to get $8k, and I don't know how realisitic that is either. Something tells me I'll probably end up selling it for $6k or $7k. Even then I still have to find the right buyer. It also has power locks and windows all run off the remote. It's a sweet truck... but I'm just not a truck guy. When I bought it I wanted a 240. And in selling it I love my 240. Even if it is totally stock (which is the best part!) I don't have to destroy my 240 with bondo and aftermarket parts to make it an eye-catcher!! Nissan already did that!! I always get "Dude is that a body kit?" whenever people see my car. Get way more comments on my 240 than my truck ever did. Not that that matters, but I guess it's nice to know.
If any of ya'll know any stupid rich kids sell my truck and I'll give you some comission!! $$$ Hahahaha.
That is what it takes to get cash out of a customized car/truck.
Later!

OH GOD DAMMIT! I am soooooo pissed. Nissan can lick my ass at this point. I'll post pictures later, but the short of it is the 240 shifter won't work. There's a plate on top of the tranny that has an extension. I'm going to check with the dealership, but I'll be the 240's have a shaved plate. I don't know why they would choose to make two plates and two shifters, instead of one universal plate and two shifters. Whatever. As of right now, the bottom piece can't engage. Like I said, hard to visualize, so I'll post pics later.

Tell me about it. If I had my Dad's setup back home, I'd just cut the truck shifter, and weld on a straight piece. But I'm not home and I don't have a welder. Only good thing about the project is while I was at it, I disconnected the sensor to the door buzzer.
Sux that it won't work I guess you can just throw it away or give it to someone else *shrugs* Good thing you didn't pay $50 for that junkyard trans...
I just found a cool Write up (http://forums.freshalloy.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=9&t=008762) you may be interested in. You could just make your own short shifter.

####, all this talk makes me wanna tinker with my own truck Though, poor thing's getting old. Maybe I'll get it a nice spray in bedliner for spring :-)
