Ive been getting 5spd swap parts recently and I still need a trans mount. I searched google and noticed that OEM trans mounts cost more than NISMO trans mounts... WTH?!
Maybe because normal ppl will look for OEM ones and dealers can make more money? Is there a difference in technology/materials used?
Just wondering about this.... OEM: $86 NISMO: $46 :hammer:

they're probably made from very hard high durometer rubber. The oem ones are made with soft rubber with cutouts to let additional movement. oem mounts are very smooth, but after hard pounding on the engine they start to get worn.

So are you saying the materials are what make the NISMO trans mounts cheaper? Just checkin...

i think the reason that nismo mounts are cheaper is cause peeps get it overseas and sell it here unlike if you get from dealers with their high overheads. Nismo mounts are definitely stiffer...its basically a solid block of rubber *polyurethane* unlike the stockies which is liquid filled. Id definitely go nismo...and trust me theres a difference.
