DESCRIPTION: Hey guys,
The time has come to sell one of my first loves. I bought this car in NC about 7 years ago and it has been very well cared for since. I actually made it my sisters car last year around thanksgiving (Shes 25 and wanted a car like this and is a librarian so its not like she abused it). She has since gotten married and the car is now back to needing a new home and since its mine shes left that up to me. Its been a great car, and I looked a while to find a ODBI SE car that was without a sunroof. I actually first started modding this car for the SCCA STU class and I got about a half a season in it and then they changed the rules around and I couldn't be competitive in the new class so I stopped going. Here are a list of mods and options.
Exterior:
Factory Fog lights
SE Lip (was damaged and repaired)
Kouki SE sideskirts
Tint
Interior:
All power options with NO sunroof
Alpine headunit
Alpine speakers in all the factory locations
Alpine V12 400w amp
Alpine type R 10" sub in custom box
(box in trunk is damaged from my golf clubs but the electronics are still good. I have unplugged the amp to insure nothing gets damaged till its fixed)
Over all the interior is clean, I think there are two very small cig burns from the previous owner. I took the entire interior out of the car and pulled the seats apart and had them professionally cleaned along with the carpet so there is ZERO smell of smoke in the car.
Suspension:
D2 coilovers
Suspension Techniques anti-swap bars front and rear
Greddy Front Strut bar
Energy Suspension master kit installed (minus the subframe bushings)
All newer moog ball joints and tie rod ends (5kish miles)
Wheels/Tires:
BSA series 5's
18x8 +20
18x10 +22
All wrapped in fairly new nexens with LOTS of life left.
Engine/Drivetrain:
R33 Brakes up front
Hawk HP+ pads front and rear
Power slot rotors up front
SPL conversion lines up front
DIF Stainless lines in the rear
Spec Stage II clutch (10kish miles)
Fidanza 9lb flywheel (20k miles)
Ingen Intake
Apexi N1 exhaust (This I have to admit, my sister backed up on a parking curb and its slightly bent upward. Easy fix for someone that wants to take the time.)
Catco Highflow catalytic converter
Maintenance Done:
-When I bought the car it had 132k on it. The owner had no idea if the timing chain and tensioners had been done. So naturally I changed them out as soon as I got a chance, which was around 145k miles. Of course there is some chain rattle back in the motor at this point like all KA's.
-As mentioned above I put all new ball joints and both tie rod ends on the car within the last few years so those should be good for a while.
-Starter last year
-New battery last week
-Alternator last year
-New tensioner pulley this past summer
-Driveshaft carrier bearing two years ago (20k miles)
-Oil changes on the regular done by me because I don't trust anyone else
-It is a lower mileage trans because there were some grinds in the stock one
Issues on the car/Disclosures:
-The clear on the top of the car and the top of the quarter panel is starting to flake (see pictures)
-My nephews were horsing around and put a dent in the front right fender, I haven't tried to pop it out yet, but I'd bet dollars against holes in a donut it can be pushed right back out.
-A "friend" of mine tried to help me roll my fenders back when I had 19's on the car and it could use a straightening up.
-The carfax I pulled on the car a few years back when I worked at NSI showed no accidents and the title is clean. HOWEVER it looks like someone replaced one of the headlights, so I'm assuming somewhere along the road the factory one got broken.
-And there was some hail damage on the roof of the car when I bought it and I had that fixed.
I'm sure I'm just being too hard on the car, over all its a great car and shows really well but I just want to be completely upfront and honest with everyone because I've driven distances to look at cars before only to be disappointed because someone didn't tell me all the facts. I'm sure I've also forgotten a few little things here and there that I have replaced and fixed on the car as I was meticulous with maintaining this car.
