Hello fellow 240 drivers. I have a 1990 240sx FB and my steering wheel is super shaky while i'm driving, my car doesn't steer out of control or nothing but it does shake and i've noticed that my break pedal shakes as well when this happeneds. I cant fined anything online about what the problem can be, do any of u have any suggestions of what can be wrong???

you need your wheels balanced probably.

It could also be warped brake discs or perhaps worn out balljoint or tie rod end.

alignment, wheel bearings, rotors, tire balance

could also be: ball joints, bad bushings, something broken in the suspension

wheel balance, flat spotted tires, warped brake rotors, warped hubs, worn bearings, loose tie-rod ends..

the list goes on and on.. best thing to do is jack up the front of your car, and start pushing and pulling on the tire, if anything is loose, fix it, if nothing is loose, get your tires and wheels looked at on a balancer.. if that checks out fine, get your brake rotors turned, and see if that helps

Unbalanced front tires will cause the steering wheel to shake at 45-55 mph.

brakes - warped rotors
steering wheel during driving - get new tension rods + wheel balance

every 240 ive ever owned has had the same issue (im on #5)..the instant you replace the tension rods with adjustable pillowball jointed units...95% of the issue goes away...the first thing i upgrade on my 240s immediately is to replace most of the control arms with aftermarket ones

remember, these cars are OLD!!! the rubber bushings and ball joints are SHOT...i dont care how well theyve been kept...spend $400 and get adjustable tension rods, toe links, RUCAs, toe links and rear traction rods...this will eliminate almost ALL of the suspension slop in the car (oh an alignment once youre done as the car will be almost undrivable unless you know how to adjust camber + caster + toe)
