i come to you guys once again and have always got great info from yall
courtesyparts.com part number 13085-1N500
i know this chain guide need 2 new style bolts part number 13075-40F10
is there a 3rd bolt needed?
guide tensionor
whats the difference in the 2 that they have out?

the new one is reinforced.
Old one is plastic, New one is metal and plastic

i figured out the chain tensioner guide was revised for the s15 all around better
tensioner--070-2J203
o-ring--069-53J00
gasket--13079-2J200
new chain guide--085-1N500
nissan part zone.com has good prices

What Sileighty said pretty much sums up the revision differences.
I figured out the chain tensioner guide was revised for the s15 and is all around better
How is this? Please share.

Nothing new here...
You were referring to the tensioner its self and not the guides. The later generation s13 black tops saw this revised tensioner but it was not until the S14 motor when the guides were revised. If you source a replacement tensioner in the US it will likely be the second generation as people don't typically carry the older style.
There is no difference in mounting between the newer and old style guides. Same block casting.

If you don't have the hardware from your original guides then ya. Otherwise they're the same.

yea i still have my oem stuff....just thought i read it needs the new bolts with the guide
