My 240sx has no heater and the only thing missing was the heater hoses so I bought them last weekend and put them on and the heater works now, but when I turned my car on the rpms started revving up really high around 3 and then it dropped to 2 and bounces in between two and three, I changed the coolant temp sensor but it keeps doing it. While I was putting the heater hoses on I did not touch anything besides the bypass hose that was already there. My s13 was running good before I put this. Any help is appreciated thanks.

sounds like you knocked off a vacuum line

Or cracked an old one. Get a can of starter fluid and go to town on your engine bay.
