Original 240sx Price

My friend asked me awhile ago what the original price of my car would be and i had to tell him that i had no idea?

What would the original price brand new for a 1992 240sx SE /Hicas

It varies from year and options; for yours ive heard they were around 17.5k in u.s.

Yea, weren't they right around the same price as the probes, mx-3's etc, to compete?

Maybe the same price as a probe turbo, but not an MX-3.

i think they were drastically overpriced when first introduced...and they only got worse...the kouki s14's i think were rediculous for what you got...

s13's used are now reasonable..i still think the s14's are too much because of what the initial cost was..

im pretty sure that 240sx's were compared along side with Probe, eclipse, MX-6, prelude and toyota celica.

The previous owner of my 95 S14 bought it used with 20k miles for $22K, ouch! I guess they are overpriced.

My 95 had a sticker price of $22,XXX - which was part of the reason it sat on the lot for 2 years . The S14's sold horribly in the North East it seems , over-pricing was just part of it's problem : most people who could afford one were getting into SUV's and such at the time - the same thing that killed the MR2-T , 300ZX and Supra too really - and the people who it was marketed to went with cheaper Integras and Celicas and the like .

I have the original paperwork from my 89. (I am the second owner) Original total was $14,771.96 and it was bought on 23 June 1989.
