I have an nistune type 3 board to use with my s14 and I also had an safc II before I purchased the board. Should i keep the safc II and use it along with nistune, or does nistune do everything the safc II can do? What are advantages of using both? Thanks for the help

If your nistune is properly tuned for your setup there is no need for the safc.

ive always heard that having a safc along with a standalone just makes it easier to get everything fine tuned. since a safc cant control timing a standalone is necessary. correct me if im wrong

Well if you are tuning your nistune (dyno or street) then you will be able to fine tune all you want. But if you just have a base or ball park tune and have no ability to tune the nistune board, then you can use the safc to "fine" tune the fuel side.
