I've been having overheating problems. I have a stock ka24de

I did a coolant flush and bled everything.
When I look under the car there's coolant dripping down from the oil pan.
When I look for the leak its hard to tell. coolant is everywhere.
Failing to find the source and after doing some research I'm still drawing blanks.

Is it the water pump? OR what else could be it?

Any insight would be wonderful.

Its closer to the front. Its a steady drop. A continuous drop

*Looks as if its leaking on all the pulleys.

More than likely your water pump leaking, replace it.

Right on. Should anything else be replaced?

yea most likely its your water pump. if your going to replace it, its a perfect chance to service your cooling system. I would replace the t-stat, hoses (if needed) ,flush the radiator etc....

don't buy a colder thermostat if you do plan on replacing

Why not get a colder thermostat?
I did not replace it yet. I was going to order one online.

After changing the water pump and as I was bleeding the cooling system i noticed that none of the hoses get hard. This being the first Ka I've worked on is this a problem?
I bled the system properly filled it with coolant. (50/50) Ran the car. Did not overheat.
I'm still worried about the soft hoses. The top and bottom hoses were that way. They did heat up as the car got warmer but never hard to where I couldn't squeeze them.
Something I missed or just another thing wrong? Any insight would be wonderful.
Thanks in advanced for the advice and help

Now when I drive the temp gauge goes up then back down. Never gets to the H.
It will be one below never to the top. Why is that?

You either have more air pockets...or a leak still check your coollant overflow tank and your radiator cap gl

Thanks for all the information. The overheating has stopped.

I'm sure I need a new rad. Normal driving its wonderful. When I slide it and get the rpms up it starts to get hot. I think its the rad. I hope its the rad. Only happens when it hits high rpms

The harder the engine works the warmer it's going to get. Does it go all the way up to H or just move up from normal? My car has never had an overheating issue, but when go on "spirited mountain drives", the temp gauge goes from normal to the upper half of the gauge, but never to H.

I was going to suggest checking the freeze plugs

It does not get to H gets to the notch below or even half way to the H but never hits the top

you probably still have air in your system. you have to bleed it with the heater at full blast. I don't know why but the KA is a SOB to bleed.
