Reliable product? Or a selling hoax?

I've been searching around and looking for peoples responses on this item, and items like it. I found this on Amazon with two 5 star reviews. Does this product do exactly what NRG says it does? Does it really help in loss of electricity matters due to audio, HIDs, Interior dress-up, and all the other funky stuff people install in, on, and around their vehicles? Has anyone here had any experiance with this product or a similair one?

its a simple electrical component. a voltage stabilizer and its self explanatory. keeps you at 12volts. Uses capacitance to store energy for a drop in voltage. also prevents voltage spikes.
