I am getting a new set of coilovers soon and narrowed my options down to the Cusco Zero2R, and the Zeal V6. They basically have the same features and close to the same design. Both have inverted front shock, PUM, double height adj, numbered damper adjuster(something that i definately wanted this time), friction loss cylinder, etc... Has anyone had any experience with these coilovers? How do they compare in quality? What about customer service, warranty, and rebuild issues? I cant find a reason to choose one over the other yet. They are very close, and i can get both for around the same price, so cost is not an issue. My car will be used for drifting, occational drag/racind with friends, and daily driver..Any info/opinions on the quality, ride, and reliability would be appreciated....thanx
Jon
You really, really cannot go wrong with either brand. Cusco seems to be a more "well known", longstanding and widely used brand, while zeal/endless are not *quite* as big (just my impression) but still a dominant force in the Japanese motorsports industry.
Toss a coin, or just decide on which colour combinations you prefer.
If I were making the choice, I'd either go Zeal V6 or Apex N1 Pro... cuscos are nice and I used to be obsessed with them, but for some reason I've been getting more and more the impression that they're somewhat overpriced. I'd love to run a cusco LSD (They seem to be a superb piece... actually I want an ATS, but cusco would be 2nd choice) and other susp/chassis stuff, but they're all too expensive. :(
AFAIK, cusco can be rebuilt through Bozzspeed (???) in the bay area (CA) who would send for parts in japan (or send them back to jp), while Zeal may not be as easy to rebuild... although I'm sure endless have some means of getting them done for you. Maybe check with their respective US distributors before you buy...
good luck, and I'm super jealous that you can afford these... They're both coilovers that many of us would give our first born children for! :D

Endless/Zeal USA is located in socal, Huntington Beach IIRC. I'm pretty sure they can do rebuilds.

Cuscco Zero 2R is really damned uncomfy!
ask iEATrice :p
i have the one below it, Cusco Comp Zero 2, and love the ride, nowhere near as harsh as the Zero 2R

a friend of mine has B6, very very quality stuff. Don't know anyone with Cusco coilovers so I can't chime in on that side

How often do these need rebuilding? And how much does it cost?

well endless and zeal are the same company.... just different products.. endless does the brakes zeal does the coils, they come with a 1 yr warranty... and i have not had any report of them blowing out or going bad.. so i have no clue as to how much it would cost..endless coilovers come already sent at the recomended height for those that are lazy and dont feel like turning a wrench
The Zero 2R and Function V6 will no doubt require more rebuilding than the Zero 2 or B6, but they should still last quite a while.
As they're designed as almost full race coilovers, they aren't made to take the continuous crap of daily driving and are made with frequent rebuilds in mind. (usually before and after every {big} race... or something like that) Similar goes for the Apex N1 type Pro.
Good luck! -- and thanks for the info on cusco rebuilds!!!

the v6 and b6 are very similar... you must be confused with the s6 and the super function coilovers.. the b6 and v6 have only slight differences which is that the v6 are inverted for better side loading while compared to the b6 which are not.. they have the same spring rates...
