installing stock s13 coupe spoiler?

i got my s13 coupe spoiler, but checking out the trunk lid, i see that the trunk lid reinforcing metal covers up the areas where i need to cut holes to install the spoiler

is there any way to remove the trunk lid reinforement metal? or do i just need to cut that away as well??

you can just drill a bigger hole in the reinforcement metal..... or you can trade me your un-winged trunk lid for my winged one (i think the wingless coupes are dead sexy:D )
