My mom's Avalon's coolant is a very very dark red-ish color. I could have sworn that if oil was seeping into the cooling system that the coolant would be a dark brownish color or even black. Well, I flushed all that crap out and my mom drove it for a day and now everything's dark red again. Oil levels are the same so I'm a little confused.

are you running straight water?
if so, it's probably RUST.
and for future reference, coolant doesn't change color with the addition of oil. Oil and water don't mix. You'd see little oil bubbles.
