Pretty rare. Trd/ Work Alumi-k wheels with a stepped lip. I wanted to hold on to them until i had the cash to fix them but u know how it goes. They were separated to have them checked and the results are as listed. Some rash etc and they need to be refurbished. Taking offers right now because i don't know
how much wheels in this condition go for. The guy who does the lips can also change the offset by making the lips wider. You can have 17x10 17x9 or bigger if u want. Thats the beautiful thing about 3pc wheels.
93133850onesix is my contact. Text or call for a quick response.
[email protected] is my paypal. Do not send it as a gift or it will be sent back. Dont even think about it.
Specs: 14.5 inches from the centers of opposite bolt holes on the sealing face. 40 bolts
17x 8 Fronts have a lip that steps in half an inch and then out for 1.5 (not flat) and 6.5 (barrel). One lip has a good crack and another crack on the barrel on the same wheel (fixable).
17x 9 Rears have a normal lip and measure 2.5 and 6.5(barrel) laying flat
This is the repair info for the replacement lips. Some info has been redacted. If you want the actual source u will have to pm me.
This is the quote i got
"i will need the actual specs of the wheels if you want lips. 17" run around $200 to $220 each, if you order more then 2 i will work with you on pricing. lips are made here in the USA and are of top quality... they could take up to 4 weeks to have made to your specs, but normally 17" stuff is in stock and would only take around a week to be made.
here is a link to kodiak's website that has a PDF of the specs i need.
Kodiak Racing Wheels - Custom lightweight race wheels for performance and racing [Shells] (http://www.kodiakracingwheels.com/shells.html)
we could look online to find the specs, but there is a good chance that the cut out will be too big or too small. you could take the center to a machine shop and have them measure them for you. the next option would be to send me a center to take the dimensions of it. i normally charge $25 for this service. i will return the part(s) with the new lips to be sure that everything bolts together correctly. this is the only way that i can guarantee that the parts will fit. if you supply the dimensions, i can only check that the lips are to your specifications and ship them to you.
the dimension needs to be correct to insure that the center and lips run concentric and true. i've seen center cutouts on wheels vary 0.030"+ from one set to another. if the center cutout is too small, the lips may not fit on your centers!
the shape of the new lips maybe slightly different from your old ones. what i mean is if you replaced a lip with a new one of the same width, you may notice a difference in the shape... or you may not.
so in closing:
made here in the USA
they are 6061 aluminum and heat treated to T6... NOT 5052
custom made for your centers.
the only way that i can guarantee 100% that they will fit your centers is if i make the measurements.
the lips come polished.
it is possible for them to take up to 4 weeks for them to be made depending on the production cycle. i will have an idea when the order is placed of how long it will be.
the shape could be slightly different if replacing a lip.
i normally charge $25 to take the measurements for you.
also i will consider giving you credit on your old lips if they are in good condition, and i do not have that size in stock.
if you would like to order lips, you can call me at (redacted), email me here or (redacted). i of course will need to know the quantity and sizes of lips that you are wanting to order. you will need to put down a 50% deposit to start the production of your lips. the remainder to be paid before your items will be shipped out. if you pay shipping i will gladly send you back the item[s] that were sent to me. once production has started, i will be unable to refund your deposit.
