What did i do wrong?

Ok so i woke up this morning, ready and excited to go and pick up my 98 240. i've been eyeing this one for the past month or so. so after dealing with all the money situation for that past month it all comes down to this final morning. so i call the dealership and find out that they sold the car on sunday.BASTARDS!!! i told them i was going to buy the car. i was going to put a deposit on it but they wanted $500 and it wasn't refundable. im not stupid. why would i put a deposit down on a car i wasn't sure i was going to buy. i was in a state of shock. its like a nightmare. these cars are so hard to find especially in a 5 speed. my heart's broken. i dont know what to do anymore....i've been looking for the past 4 months. sorry had to vent

Join the club and go to another state and buy your perfect 240 and drive her home.

Thats what I did for my 89 Coupe <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> lol. 240SX are rare as #### in CO.

Yep, I flew from denver to Missouri and drove back just for a $1400 '89 Coupe. I spent 1/3 the cost of the car ($500) just to fly there. But extreme circumstances call for extreme measures. Keep your eyes peeled and be willing to go the whole 9 yards and you probably find something in the near future. Just save the $$ so your ready.

thanks. yeah i live in seattle and am now considering taking a weekend trip down to portland, oregon and look at the cars over there.

The only thing you should've done was put down that deposit to hold the car, but like you said..you're not stupid. &nbsp;Those guys are morons for asking for a non-refundable deposit.

why are they morons?
i wouldnt promise a car to anyone unless they gave me cash. &nbsp;he didnt, so the car got sold. &nbsp;am i missing something?
look at it this way, when they sold it, you still didnt want it otherwise you wouldve dropped some $$$ on them.
