A bone stock black 1998 Nissan 240SX was stolen on the night of November 30th between 10:00PM and 10:45AM. The car was stolen from an apartment complex in Valrico FL. Any information would help.

Pictures and a list of mods (any type of mods) will better your chances of someone on here locating your car.

License plate numbers? Any specific details that can be recognized? Dings, dents, decals, fading of paint etc.

The only dent is baseball sized on passenger side roof. X984TV was license number. Had paint deterioration on hood and front bumper in the form of little white spots. Assumed to be from the damn love bugs. Interior had a small burn on the drivers seat right between the legs. I assume a cigarette or cigar from previous owner. Drivers side floor mad had gum stuck in the carpet. Around all the key holes and emblems had paint deteriorated/scratched to white. The top of the spoiler had some bad touch up paint where it looks like sun/heat damage on the drivers side. Appeared to be a yellowish color about the size of a golf ball. The pin striping was almost gone. Real dark grey color. Other than that nothing.

I would just like to post an update.

On March 3, 2012 the vehicle was found by Hillsborough County Sherriff's Office. The vehicle was abandoned in an apartment parking lot where it had sat with a flat tire for the past three months. The landlord of the property reported the vehicle to have it towed. Vehicle tag was still on it and was identified as the stolen vehicle. I met the Deputy at the scene. They dusted the vehicle and found usable fingerprints. The vehicle only had minor body damage in the form of scrapes along the right bumper. The interior, exterior, and engine were all intact and complete. The only things missing from the vehicle was a 2nd generation iPod, a pair of handcuffs from my duty belt, and my two way radio. I was able to put air in the tire and drive it home. I am now only waiting to hear from HCSO if they have identified a suspect and then prosecute.

They probably took it for a joy ride then parked it. Good to hear you got it back with most everything there.

Actually. The night it got stolen I filled the tank. When I get gas I keep trak of at what miles and etc. Essentially a "fuel log". They only drove it about 4 miles. Which means they stole it from my home and only drove it to that appartment complex. The added benefit of them driving to those appartments is that they have security cameras in the parking lot. If they have the video from the night it was stolen then they will most likely have the suspect on video.

Wire up a hidden kill switch if you cant afford an alarm on the car atleast. All you need is a $2 toggle switch and maybe some extra wire so you can move the toggle switch somewhere.

Well, when I purchased the car I didn't even think of I being a target with it being so old. Now that I have a lot more facts I know now I was very much mistaken. I already purchased an alarm and I have a buddy who does installs on limos and such for high priced electronics who will help me with it. On top of that I am installing kill switches and I am also thinking of purchasing this "clutch lock" thing I've been reading about.
