i did refresh my sr and it came with an apexi metal headgasket. is it ok to reuse it? i got the head checked by a shop and told me the head is straight and no probs. so now im about to put engine back together, about to add a copper spray gasket so itlll help seal with minor imperfections. what do you guys think?

Ive heard of guys reusing them, but I honestly wouldnt recommend it. It could probably work well if you use the copper spray..... just dont be surprised if it fails.

It's a Apex-i go ahead and reuse it. I reused my apexi and used the copper spray and it holds about a 5% leakdown across all cylinders.
My motor makes about 400hp at the crank and it has had no problems at all. Apex-i makes some really good HG's they will hold and hold.
Most of the people here who say don't reuse either A. Never tried or B. tried with a inferior quality gasket and or installed it improperly.
Take it from me. If the the gasket was good when you took it off and didn't damage it during tear down or reinstallation what makes think it wouldn't work?
Just remember to retighten the head studs after a week or a couple hundred miles of driving.
Spay the copper on it and go to town. Retighten the studs and do a compression test if you want to put your ind at ease. But, really it will be fine.
