In two weeks i'm getting a Galant vr-4 and i can't decide if i should keep my 240 or sell it i was planning on doing an sr20 swap but the galant could have more potential if i saved my money and worked on that.I'm keepin the galant either way cause i live in Illinois and a rear wheel drive car likes to not go in snow. Any thoughts?

i have 2 friends with GVR4s and they are reaaaly nice cars. my only complaint about them is they are a little overweight and not as nimble as your 240. As for potential, i think the 240 has more potential. My friend put a little under $6000 building a motor for that galant and only ran a 13.4 @18 psi on a precision pte57 (?) and it didnt handle that great either, but it was a helluva sleeper!

i was kinda leanin towards keepin my 240 (i love my 240) i'll probably just keep the galant through the winter, the only reason i'm buying it is cause i'm gettin a kick ass deal on it (1991 w/ 120,000 for $1000)

At that price, getting the galant is a no-brainer. Keep the 240 because after a while, you'll be itching for that RWD fun again. I know too many people who regret selling RWD cars...

there is a guy around here with a green vr4 with matching green wheels. gross. anyway it would look good if its done right. keep the 240 for sure though. cause only running a 13.4 at 18 psi is real bad. but maybe he's a bad driver or something.

no he's a great driver, the car is just heavy as shit


and the color matched wheels are stock on that car

Yes I agree, keep the wonderful 240, and get the Galant. It will be a good commuter and will provide you another aspect in car tuning. I just think you will miss the RWD too much if you get rid of it. I am looking at getting a second car for winter because I am in northern wisconsin right now and winter in a 240 is quite the experience haha. Good luck
