S13 speed sensor problem

So about a month ago I bottomed out on a speed bump. And in doing so, my speedo quit working. I've tried switch speed sensor (didn't do anything and I knew they were good sensors) and I have taken it to a local mechanic and he can't figure out what it is but says its the cluster which I know it's not. So if anyone has a clue as to what might fix this gremlin your knowledge will be quite helpful.

Maybe the wiring was ripped off when you bottomed ?

Its good all thee way to the plug and as far as I can see up Ito the chassis.
