i need a little help i rebuilt my ka24e for my s13 a couple weeks ago and i got everything done and going on to start the car it fired up and has some fuel leaks from the injectors so i got new ones installed them and now it wont start sometimes randomly it will but other than that it just cranks over and it back fires but wont start im new to 240s so im not really sure what it could be i checked all harness nothing looks disconnected or anything and it started before but i cant really tell what it is or what to do and i really need help case i dont wanna just throw this car or away and or the motor i rebuilt idk what to do so if anyone has any suggestions or anything on why it wont fire i would appreciate it, names shane by the way thanks.

are the injectors grounded good?

I think back firing is a timing issue . Double check that before you keep turning it over. Google it or use search feature on here.

Check timing at the dizzy. With motor at tdc (find timing mark on crank pulley) the dizzy should be a little before the #1 position, which should be a little below horizontal toward the front of the engine. If it isn't you need to re-stab the dizzy
If you think it's right, it probably isn't, took me a few stabs to get mine right and i've done it plenty of times.
It works a little easier to set the rotor like one tooth back from where the dizzy is pointing at the correct position, push dizzy in (probably won't go ALL the way in)
Turn the engine over by hand SLOWLY and it'll pull the dizzy right snug with the motor.
Install bolts.
BAM!

NOW; if your dizzy is right, make sure your injectors are firing properly.
I like to not fuck around because i've had tunes (not applicable in your situation) so i unbolt the fuel rail; 2 bolts up top and one at the very back that doubles to hold the manifold on
Set a rag(blue rag works best imo) under the rail, crank the engine a few times
Have spots of fuel that are even? Injectors are probably okay.

Can also check with a DMM initially to find if you are getting pulse

i know my injectors are good i just bought new ones cause thats what i thought it was and they are grounded everything pretty much is. it could be the dizzy cause when i try and advance it while it cranks it sounds like it wants to start but then dosent i jus dont get it cause it used to fire up no problem with fuel leaks but now i fixed everything it wont ha

Try the dizzy. More than likely thats your issue if turning the dizzy makes it try and fire up.
If it was running before try cap and rotor. You can try cleaning the contacts and check to make sure your wires are good. I had an issue once where a cracked boot on the wire was causing erratic spark.

hmm ill try that then cause sometimes when i let it crank i kinda hear a pop but its not coming from the dizzy side but i dont see any sparks ill check the dizzy and mess with that and let you know i kinda thought it was a fuse or something but guess not.

sooo come to find out it wasnt any if that i did everything right electrical wise and dizzy wise... idk why but the worst of the worst happens to me all the time so check this out.

i try to figure out the timing of the dizzy and it still did the same thing so i take my valve cover off and theres coolant in the oil which was prolly jus a bad intake mani gasket but then i turned the car over and the cam gear wobbled when i did that sooo i took the bolt out of the cam gear and the pin thats in the cam fell off.. and if you look into cylnder 4 the valve broke off and the valves in the head were all brand new i got it machined and everything just not magnifluxed or whatever but i dont think its cracked so i took it apart and the piston broke off the exaust valve and jammed it in the head so the cam fucked everything uppp.. my luck. ima post pictures of what all happened. itss stupid
