I just recently installed an act 4 puck, with heavy duty pressure plate. I mean the clutch pedal is pretty soft, but damn it's hard to drive cuz when she grabs she grabs really hard. Is the clutch supposed to feel like that? I mean when i'm on a hill I have to sometimes burnout, to get going. Another question I have is does the sr20det trans run really hot? I mean I can feel the heat by my accelerator foot. The whole center console by the shifter is pretty hot. Is that normal or do I have a problem? Now the third and final problem I have is, when I drive to maybe 50 or 60 mph, my steering wheel starts to shake back and forth violently. Not the the point that I lose control, but bad enough to where I don't want to drive any faster. I'm sure that this could be caused by a lot of factors, but maybe one of you have had this problem before, and could help me out. Oh, before I forget is there any clutch for the sr20det, that is actually street friendly? Just some info on my car, so it might be easier to help. It's an s13 hatchback. With a redtop sr20det.

Can't help you with the other problems. As for the steering wheel shaking at 50-60mph, you might have to rebalance your front wheel(s). Good luck.

Get ur Drive shaft rebalanced!!!!!
And inspect ur carrier bearings if u have any!!!
And as for your clutch grabing like that. u may have air in your clutch lines or since its hot like u say. u may have moisture in your lines.....check for leaks and flush your clutch master cylinder...

im not really familiar with act clutches, but is the 4 puck clutch sprung? or is it a solid disk, if its unsprung, this is your problem with the clutch grabbing, the springs help to smooth clutch operation. the vibration sounds like incorrectly balanced tires, try getting them balanced, also the heat is prolly from the exhaust, it runs alont the drivers side of the tranny.
