You have a hatch that needs to be replaced and some old-school Z31 wheels, you're gonna need much more (or less) to beat me!

I have NO signals, no interior, no HAVC, and 1 seat. I have my battery, ALL the fuses and ALL the relays sitting on the pass floor. The trunk consists of nothing more than exposed metal panels and chassis reinforcing bars. I dont even a horn to go "toot toot" for all the girls! To turn on the lights, I have to lean over and turn the switch which is on the floor of the passenger seat. To turn the wipers, I have to reach near the footwell and turn the switch there.

There IS no more ghetto than me. I am surprised no cops have thrown me into jail yet.

old_s13 that's one way to get rid of the annoying dashboard rattle- eliminate the dashboard! I love it!
the most ghetto I've been was when I took out a bunch of interior trim-around the guage cluster, stereo, steering wheel etc.... trying to get rid of some of the 3-4k rpm rattles (sigh) they are still there though.
my bumpers need repainted and i've got big dent in the roof from a tree branch (before I got it) not even an honorable mention in this crowd....

I mean, I didnt have headlights OR wipers a few weeks back. I had to drive with my fucking head out the window to see because the windshield was full of water droplets and one time, I had to drive through a canyon with no headlights at 1AM... stupid? YUP. Ghetto? FO-SHO.

If thats not ghetto, I have NO clue what kind of shit you guys are pulling off...

what i plan on doing real soon is taking a grinder wheel and cutting out as much rust as i can, then filling the holes with bondo, and then either spraypainting the hatch flat black, or taking it someplace to have them spray it body color. but i don't REALLY care how it looks, just that it's not leaky, and without duct tape :)

i'm just glad i don't have to worry about the remaining fastener for the spoiler letting go and watching my spoiler fly off into a car behind me anymore. :eek:

Yup. And "filling the holes with bondo"is um.... well.. hahaha. Bondo is not some magical skin sort of thing. It is a heavy, porous, soft putty like substance that you can fill (divits, dents, creases, pts, etc...) with. If you dont understand, it needs something behind it to sit on. Therefore filling in "holes" requires you to get all up on the inside and weld some sheet metal underneath the holes, or fiberglass them. For big openings fiberglass is sketch with the added weight of the bondo. Anyways.... just get a new hatch. Easier, cheaper, and safer fix...

God, if i only carried a camera to work every day....i work at a Lowe's in central Pennsylvania, i have seen some ghetto you can probably only dream about...the kid that works in the dominics stand in front of our store has an 80 something turbo chevy sprint (1.5 liters or something like that), red with a flourescent green chickenwire grill with a porsche turbo emblem zip-strapped to it (busted the old grill ramming it through 4ft tall snow banks)...has american flag bumperstickers on the white hubcaps, and a vinyl of beavis and butthead on the hood pissing on a dodge emblem...about half of an interior...and a license plate that says" Can't find your car? look under my tires!" (he has 13" wheels). also has an actual coffee can (maxwell house) for a muffler tip to make fun of ricers...it got dented to he11 when we went out on 4wheeler trails with it....i'll take the cam in some day and get a few snapshots for you guys.
also need to go up to his garage and get pics of his "hybrid" vehicles....s10 w/chevy 350 and 5spd, a honda 3 wheeler with a gsxr600 motor and half the frame (check out beaver springs dragway's website for a pic of it doing a 12.something at 101mph in the quarter), and the newest unfinished toy....a 89 toyota truck frame/drivetrain with a 4 door pontiac grand am body. awesome stuff

My parts car was driveable when i bought it. Ill get some pics, I would have you all owned, the WORSET thing about it, it was modded and looked like ASS, it had Sportlines with AGXs and a Nice JIC exhaust and wheels and interior stuff. But had no fenders, a food with one bolt, no bumper, both rear fenders are smashed in, smashed tail light, 195/65/15 in the rear, 205/50/15 in front, smashed in everything, a Dollor bill sized rust hole in the front frame right where the suspention sits. Bent up tie rods, Nismo stickers, and painted white interior, well most of it.. It was nastey, I would have won, It had no interior expect for a nice shift knob, a dash that wasent attatched. Oh yea and a HUGE crack in the windsheild.. hahha

I don't have a picture of my car but until i get my swap done i'm drivin an 89 honda accord that is primered black (planned on painting it couple years ago but went to sleep instead) the hood won't open and and i'm out of windshield wiper fluid and there is a power steering leak somewhere and i can't refill that either so i have manual steering. It has one good point though, and that is it idles so rough it's like getttin a back massage

lol, this one is one of our memebers, he bought it as a parts car but drove it for 2 weeks, he drove it home form where he bought it like 2 hours on the freway, the pwner kept teh front seats cause they were race seats, so they tore the back bench and a bunch of other shit appart made a pile to sit on. then they had 4 gallon of spare water cause the rad. had a hole in it, keep in mind he drove it around his home town and all over for 2 weeks, he practiced drifting in it for ovious reasons, but we put a end to her when the gas tank started to trash the tire out.

I think I got really lucky to find no rust holes when i took off my spoiler. I filled in the holes by getting them soldered closed and just prepped it sanded it down a bunch of times and now it's pretty much perfect :) it's one of the few things im doing in preparation for a full paint job

It looks like he made the manifold out of pipe elbows, THAT GO IN YOUR HOUSE!!! If you look close you can see the molded in letters of the piping standard on each elbow. I've seen that manifold design before though, I know where he got the idea from, it was an ebay kit also.

Yes,they are nice and soft(and in some places nice and firm;)) and smell nice,and ....you just have to make sure to find one thats supportive of what you are into,and won't get jealous of your car(and other stuff!)....the only thing she hates about my car is when I call it "silvia" then she gets mad....lol
