Do you have a boost gauge to check for vacuum? It should be 20 in/hg. Also, check your IACV, mine was stuck open (or closed?) and my idle was just like yours. The screw on your iacv might still work but the actual valve gets stuck. Try and find another used one from someone here on zilvia and see if that works.

i have this issue also but i think ive tracked mine down to a faulty signal coming from the coolant temp sensor causing the idle to drop.

What is your fuel pressure? When was the last time you changed the fuel filter?

I have a Walbro fuel pump 205 lph.
It's an atmospheric BOV.
I think I found some part of the problem will update it more tomorrow when I get it at a cold start and drive it around.
I had a crack in the hose that's connected to my BOV I tapped it up and she seems to run a little better not stalling yet and it won't drop too low.
But my idle is still at 1-1.3K. and it moves up and down a little

dont tape a vacuum line, its better and honestly easier to just replace it

check your coolant and make sure she is topped up if that's not the problem you could have to adjust the idle on the throttle body. Mine was idling at 500 last week after a lot of work and I just needed to get coolant

Yeah I know, I'm gonna replace it as soon as I get the chance this was just to rig it to work for this week.
ballin' on a budget

Alright, I'll do this too.

Ok so I am low on coolant, I'm gonna put some more in tonight but my temp guage is fine and not overheating
i'm pretty sure I need a new fuel pump.
But now when I idle at like 1200 and rev it up to about 3k she drops down to 200RPMS and comes back up same thing when I come to a short stop from being at high revs.

Ok changed coolant, nothing changed.
- I've unplugged the MAF and ran the car and it seemed to idle a little better than before

Update: Car stalled in the middle of the road last night from dropping it from 3rd to 2nd, I was pretty sure it was the fuel pump. So I just replaced it.
Now I brought it home, and I was going to park and dropped it to neutral and it died on me. I started it back up it was jumpy as hell and just died again. Started it back up and gave it gas for a bit and it kept its idle.
I just made the idle at 1,5k I think my IACV is bad.
Should I replace it?
& Should I buy a new one - so I don't have to worry about buying a used one with the same problems?

check my build thread. i had the EXACT same issue you did.
it was a combo of my bov leaking on idle and my iacv being destroyed.

Do you recommend I buy a new one or a used one?

True, but I don't wanna buy one and then have the same problems.

yeah i understand that. but i would rather take a chance for 70$ then 400$. but if its only 400 every 20 years it doesnt seem to bad. but some/most on ebay come with a promise of it working.
Mine is doing the same thing as well. Want to order a new IACV but everyone is backordered with no ETA from what I have found. The PCV has already been replaced and no dice. I idle at like 1300rpm, my AEM can turn it up all day long but will only go as low as 1300. Wasn't aware that low coolant could cause such an issue though, I'll have to check it out tonight once I get home.
Regards,
Robert

Why did you erase your original post??? You could have kept the original information on what was wrong and at the end of it posted the solution to help people searching....
