yeah vacuum leak is a definite possibility. Many times you can hear them, but you can spray a soapy water mixture from a squirt bottle onto the possible leak location, or you can actual have a leak test done. Don't feel like explaining that, you can google it. I would also venture to say that maybe the Idle control valve is on the fritz.
