So i have a 1993 240sx coupe stock ka24de and when im driving and hit 4 thousand rpms it bogs down and then it will pick up again, it does this through every gear and some days it wont do it at all. I really need to find out what this problem is cause it will sometimes do it randomly on any rpm on the freeway and it feels like my car is not gonna pick up again but then it does, i dont know what this could be, the car is untouched beside coils.the motor is stock it has a brand new fuel pump new fpr(fuel pressure regulator) new fuel filter, please help me out this is my first car and i need it for school. thanks

X2 on this ^ The Ka in my truck began doing this 4 days ago. Did a basic tune up- filters, fluids, cleaned maf. No luck. No codes yet. Tends to do it more when cold. Hoping for some new hints as well...
I DID switch gas stations a little over a week ago- from Chevron to a Shell station close to work...?

^^ might want to take care of that.
May be your dizzy cap, or spark wires if you have a new fuel filter.

In for some answers ... :/
Has anyone noticed that there are like 4 threads started on this same type of bogging- all started nov 20 and later... I know two guys near me with Ka's ( both car and truck) that began these same symptoms in the last week and a half... Wtf.
I noticed that mine does it much worse when cold- Feels like someone is taking heavy stabs on the brakes as I accelerate.

ya i know what you mean that is exactly what mine feels like almost as if you hit fuel cut and then it randomly picks back up

It definitely could be an ignition prob you never want anything on your car to be "dangling" Have you ever heard of ignition rewire? I put a link below. This is actually worth the time and not that hard to do. Youll have alot smoother throttle response.

i'm having a similar problem. the car will run great above 2000rpm but wants to stall at idle it doesnt jump back until you tap the throttle i've cleaned the maf and checked all the connections... then the car lost spark new coil, checked all the grounds and nothing
any help would be great

This is a different problem it sound like the iacv on the back of the intake manifold. Maybe throttle position sensor on the throttle body Ka? Do you still not have spark?

You should have a constant 12v at the coil check that and also fuses if you havent already. Seeing youve already checked your grounds thats all I can think of at the moment.
