so yeah, let me just explain my problem:

(1) ok, so co i puyt together my s13 front, wired up thge headlights and luckly they connected right up to the old harness for the headlights.

(2) i noticed that the harness for the fogg light on the s13 dual projector did not match any available harnesses for power! SO I DID THIS ( spliced open the harness from the "POP UP HEADLIGHT MOTOR", found the negetive and positive wires, and then taped up the end of the wire which wasnt being used!

(3) i began to try out my CUSTOM wiring, and IT WORKED, so i continued to do the same for the other side. well, while doing so, i managed to ACCIDENTLY touch that"UNUSED" wire to the radiator support and it sparked......:( UNFORTUNALY THE FOGGLIGHTS are not responding to my custom wiring anymore, BUT THEY DID BEFORE THE SPARK( when i touched that unused wire one the radiator support)

if anyone has any responses or maybe even a conclusion to how i could fix this coud you please post here! ALSO: i bought a toffle switch for(ON/OFF) at a local shop, if i were to re-wire the fogglights up manually with a seperate power wire,. how would i do so??DO I JUST CONNECT POWER TO THE STICH AND SPLICE THE SWITCH WIRE TO THE HEADLIGHTS, OR DIRECTLY CONNECT POWER TO THE FOGGLIGHTS, AND SPLICE THE FOGGLIGHT WIRES FOR THE SWITCH??? any help would be great people, thanks

i would suggest check your fuses and get a separate harness for your fog and run the power from the battery

Just run a wire (with a in-line fuse!!!!) from the batt.(+) to the switch. Then from the switch to the lights. Then ground wire to any thing touching the frame. Remember if there is any paint where you are grounding it to you won't get a good ground.

That's about it. All a switch does is break the line of power. If you hooked it right to the batt. then it would just stay on all the time.

Hope that helped.
Electronics are pretty easy.
12v wont kill you, but it will bite you good. So be careful.

I was planngin on wiring the foglights to the pop up button as well. I've seen people do this since the switch from the pop up button provides constant power when on.

I've been trying to source an actual wiring harness from a S13 but its becoming a needle in a haystack

OP - You blew a fuse. Simple. Spark from wire followed by no power, blown fuse for that circuit. Common sense.

To the others asking, you do realize the US S13 chassis is prewired for the dealer option foglights? Plenty of threads about it, plug is by the battery, switch plug is under the dash.
