S13 Seams...

Alright so my project car is going alright...I am pretty new to Zilvia but i have been through every post important. I have got the ka24e engine rebuilt and it is running stronger than ever, i am now sourcing a lower km tranny, its actually not that easy to find a 5spd tranny in Canada. This summer is where i am stripping the car and fixing all the rust. The majority of seams on this car either have rusted through or have surface rust when the goo stuff is removed. This is mainly in the engine compartment and in the trunk area. Could this have been something that Nissan had screwed up? Has anyone else encountered this problem? After I get it fixed a complete suspension overhaul is next...

If you have got lost in this post I am just wondering if anyone else has encountered the seam rust problem?

I've heard from several guys in Canada that they have rust issues to battle.

From what I hear, Naval Jelly is the best thing for cleaning up rust. You can get it at Bar-be-que stores. It's main commercial use is cleaning bar-be-que racks.
