car itself is a s14 97.....I have a top/bottom harness and ecu is a 97 kouki ka24de, engine is a zenki, looked it up on the FSM on the engine harness section for kouki, but the connector is not on there, only the 8 pin is listed, also looked it up on the zenki FSM and it only list the 8 pin as well, does anybody know what this 6 pin controls?

FYI, i saw a zenki harness and the zenki top harness does NOT have this 6 pin connector(EDIT, I SAW A 2ND ZENKI HARNESS, AND IT DID HAVE THIS PIN AS WELL)(Edit#2,saw a 3d zenki harness, this time i knew the car as an original 95 auto, it did NOT HAVE THIS PLUG, SO IT MIGHT BE AN AUTO obd2 type of plug ??the 95 should be obd1 but it has the obd2 plug on the PASSANGER side not driver side).so i was expecting to find it on the FSM for the kouki but its not listed, i have 3 FSM's, 1 zenki, one 97, one 98 per production dates on FSM's

Hmm not sure. Having not worked on S14s before I can't tell you exactly! I haven't found a comparable S14 wiring diagram like this:

http://www3.telus.net/kreen/wiring/wh150dpi.png

Or else I could tell you. But as far as I know and from what I've worked on, there is only the 3 pin and 8 pin on the s13s...

Is it an Auto or 5 speed harness? The auto harnesses usually have a couple of extra things, I know that the TPS plug on Autos is a 6-pin if I'm not mistaken...

just wanted to add so we can have more info, I finally got to turn on the vehicle, turned on fine without this plug, it must have something to do with the harness being an automatic harness(still not sure which harness I have auto or manual???) and the intake manifold being part of a 5 speed, meaning the intake manifolds themselves can contain one harness with one clip(8pin), or the other harness with 2 clips(8pin and 6 pin), someone told me that the 2nd plug(6pin) might be a controller for the IACV,EGR, that is needed when the shifter is put into P R N D WHICH changes certain idles, which is connected to the AUTO TRANNY ECU(not the main ECU).and the normal 8 Pin goes to the main ECU,the 5 speed plug for IACV,ETC just has one plug that goes straight to the Main ECU.
