So my car has a bad deceleration issue still (if I rev the car itll want to kill itself on the RPM downclimb or when I come to a stop and put the clutch in) and I believe it may be the PCV system or a bad IAC. Right now the PCV system just has a small micro filter on the valve cover which I don't believe should be like this. Should I run a hose from the valve cover to in between the MAF and Turbo? and if so With an oil catch can or just run the hose?

If anyone has any idea why else i could have a deceleration issue I'm all ears. Oh and the BOV is recirculated.

The car will be tucked away for the winter so I'll be working on it now that I have the time to.

I guess a couple other things about the car that could make a difference: 1995 240sx KA24DET, enthalpy rom tuned ECU, t3/t4 top mount turbo, FMIC, ssqv recirculated BOV, bunch of other things I can't remember right now

Thanks!

Valve cover breather is unrelated to PCV. Your PCV valve is against the side of the engine block above the alternator.
Check out KA-T forums for TONS of info on PCV valve on the KA-Turbo.
Few different schools of thought out there.
I doubt PCV or valve cover breather is related to your problem.....

Thank you for including information in your request for help and not just a 'HELP MY CAR DOESNT WORK [email protected]@[email protected][email protected][email protected]!"

Anyway, I agree with bartdog.

What does your A/F ratio look like when you are decell'ing? Sounds like its dumping fuel and bogging you down. Is this a problem that happens after you run the car for a bit?

I've tried looking around on KA-T but that site is dead slow and kinda clustered.

But isn't the hole in the valve cover causing the venturi effect with the hose and not with the micro filter? I was just curious because one of the symptoms of a disfunctioning pcv system is the deceleration issue (from what I have learned in class at least).

As far as my A/F ratios they run a little rich at idle but cruising and WOT are pretty close to perfect. I think with the deceleration it might be running rich but I never really looked. This problem happens literally all the time, first starting, driving, driving for hours, and so on. I have figured a way to almost cope with it while driving but I really want the car running smooth.

Try running the bov atmospheric n see if it helps. Most tunes are setup for atmospheric as far as I understand. I know that running at atmospheric bov on a factory tune will create a rich condition under deacceleration.

Here is the thread on KA-T.
www.ka-t.org :: View topic - HOW TO: *Properly* disconnect your PCV ... (http://www.ka-t.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=27437&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0&sid=d5f651d6d4bdddc68c90f7a18c4daa0b)
It's got a whole discussion through out that thread about ways to properly route you PCV system. I'm not a big time poster here on the forums. I read...ALOT. Stumbled across it and it answered quite a few questions of mine. Hope it helps.

I'll try the atmospheric for a little bit and see if that helps, since all the leaks have been fixed I havn't tried that out. I'm also looking to just get an OEM IAC just because I don't really trust the aftermarket one. If the BOV attempt doesn't fix it I'll just do what that thread did and hopefully it will help!

Thanks for the help from all of you and if anyone else has some thoughts I'll try them all!

off topic but 2jz swap in the future? bien or no bueno? figured it would be easier and more reliable than an rb swap since the 2j is actually in the US and a little easier to get stuff for

once i read that its recirculated i got kind of stumbled. Try running the bov atmospheric, opening the IACV screw some, and if that doesnt help then run it blow-through

*Im going 2jz once I get fed up with my motor lol, or basically when I stop buying parts motor wise

Delete all that shit. Since it will be down for winter pull the intake and clea all that nonsense up under the intake maifold. A new pcv is maybe 5 bucks. Replace it. They do get clogged. As far as your valve cover breather run a hose to the intake before the maf. You. Can put a catch can if u wat . Just put it inline of your house to the intake. I don't run one on my car. Also don't. Change your bov setup. Recirc is the way to go. It will stall if not. A/F sounds right for enthalpy. Also with the pcv I just ran a hose down to the ground for mine.

sounds exactly like my 300zx when my intercooler pipes kept popping off, maybe you should double check all your pipes and hoses. and 2jz is a bueno and super easy to do, just a custom downpipe away from driving mine.

Double checked the pipes and hoses (had to install a bunch of new ones thanks to no construction signs and coilovers) but ill be checking a bunch of things since its coming up to December and still 65 here in New York some how
