for the bit of research I've done ... s13 sr's do but the s14 ones got bumped up quite a bit ... but this can can't be turbo'd a bit easier than a ka considering
how everyone with an sr usually upgrades they're turbo stuff...

just FYI, no such thing as a "Red top S14 SR20DE". The Red top SR20DE was only available in the S15 Silvia "Autech" version that had 200hp with 11.7 compression ratio, and huge cams from factory, and also came with the 6 speed trans stock. If this was indeed a real Autech S15 red top SR20DE that the previous owner tore apart and put low compression pistons in, that is just strange. Why not just get an SR20DET that is already low comp and turbo?

but the body is clean (besides the front end, previous had been Silvia)
has to be seen to be appreciated....
I've seen crappier go for more...
most peoples responses to my car has usually been
"oh it's not turbo" without even coming to look at the car
... everybody expects twice as much,
only wanting to pay half the price ...

I'm aware 240s aren't worth they're weight in gold but
my car isn't as overpriced as others...

1st step would probably be to literally clean it, interior is filthy, shampoo engine bay, organize the wiring and ditch the redbull can. uncracked dash, new steering wheel with a center, fish the boot on shifter and ebrake, fill in the radio slot and vents with something, tuck the exhaust up a bit more, make it all one colour, line up the front end, stock headlight doors, stock wheels, get a cover for the fuse box,

thats my list of things to do in MY OPINION to make it a presentable car

This was a sr20det originally from the factory and made na...so all toy need is a turbo kit and you are good to go. This dude had bought a lot of parts from me and is no bullshiter. Stop trashing his thread take it to pm if you dont have anything good to say noob.:fawk2:

knowledge about turbo'ing this motor.

when i had a s13 i had a s14 sr20de also and put on a t25 and 3 inch from front to back with a nur spec. it dyno'd at around 215whp and 225Tq on stock boost (7-8pds) with safc2... reason i say 'around' is because the z32 mafs was not hooked up right(my fault)... the motor has 10.0.1 compression, SUPPOSEDLY a slightly more aggressive cam than a DET but don't quote me on that, a distributor like just like 'banana_cute' said and smaller oil squirters. the block is also not tapped for oil/water lines... if you want to prove us wrong show us pics of the oil return on the block, if its not tapped you are bs'ing.

ALSO the motor has 160hp stock... not 100 like stated in the thread somewhere. if you want to know whp number they are near identical to a FWD redtop sr20de.

car blew up due to the safc power wire disconnecting while i drove hard on it and not knowing so i blew ringlands. otherwise boosting the na sr is FUN compared to a stock DET the added torque from the higher comp is a blast, with a welded diff and 245/55/16 tires it spun 1st 2nd and half of 3rd flooring it from a rolling start


also to anyone buying this guys car, with an exhaust it gets about 35mpg (na) flooring it around town all loud and slow.

wasnt to try to call anyone out. $2200 is a pretty good price, considering the swap itself is around $700- $900, if that. +the car and the coils that is stated. Then again the car isnt on its best looking shape.

But i've had an Sr20DE myself. Extra fun to drive. I put in 370cc injectors on it without a tune and for some reason it always back fires and shoot out flames when i floor it top end. and the rev limit dumbfound everyone like "the fuck, sounds like an SR, but no spool". hahahhaa.
