Ok now from the beginning. My car was running perfectly fine before i did anything. i have a zenki 240 with an s14 sr20det blacktop. i decided to upgrade my injectors to 480cc oem s15 injectors. installation was easy but when i turned on my car is idled like shit. gave it time but nothing so im guessing i need a tune. i decided to go back to the 370cc oem injectors and now it wont start... the fuel pump turns on and all the fuses and grounds are fine. it sounds like it wants to start but nothing. it turns over but wont crank. Please help!!!!!

explain 'sounds like it wants to start', aka, the starter works fine, fuel pump primes, but nothing else? try priming the fuel pump a couple times, aka, turn key part way on, then off, then try starting.

...you could 'floor it' and just let it keep turning over till it catches.

btw, you can't just throw larger injectors and have it work. I highly recommend people get wide-band, and standalone if they can afford it. Anything less is really a band-aid.

yea i realized that the hard way haha but i've tried that and nothing! and what i mean is that the starter is good and the engine i turning over and if i hold it it would sound like it cranks and than dies but that barely even lasts a second.. any other advice?

Its flooded. Pull out the spark plug, disconnect the injectors and crank it

Just to "un-flood" your engine. Go back to 370cc until you get a tune

yea im doing that now. but its kind of a pain in the ass to remove injectors from an s14. i have to take out the plenum. so could i be able to only take out the spark plugs and fuel pump fuse to drain it out?

i did it and its started to shoot out fuel from the fuel rail. should i disconnect the fuel pump fuse?

you do not take the injectors out!!! you unplug the elecrical connector so they do not squirt. you also take all of the spark plugs completelly out to vent the fuel out of the cylinders when you crank it.

one thing alot of people dont seem to know is that if you take out the spark plugs and un plug the Cam Angle Sensor the fuel injectors will not squirt and the coils will not try to fire. you can clear the cylinders this way.

the whole point of what you are trying to do is to get all of the excess fuel that is puddled up in the cylinders out so that the engine will fire up.

yea i know but i wanted to do a little upgrade. i was being careless and forgetting that i need a tune to do this.. but i took out the spark plugs off and the injectors already so i was cranking it and watching gas just shoot out the cylinders. so now im waiting a couple hours until everything is completely drained out! my biggest concern is if i should have the fuel pump fuse in or out while doing this..???

omfg this is about the same thing i just posted on that other thread for.. in order to un-flood your motor unplug the injectors, crank it till it catches, plug them back in and start the car. its not that hard, you don't need to pull the spark plugs out or anything either.

well, the gas needs to be removed from the cylnders, so yeah, you should have a heat source, the motor will just run itself out of fuel and then you can plug in your injectors and you should be able to start it without problem...

Just take out the spark plugs and unplug the injectors then crank the motor to dry out...sounds like you may have mis-used or re-used the bad or previous injector o rings, or they werent put in right maybe...If you need a base map for the 850s let me know also. Hopefully works out
