I recently did a 5speed swap on my convertible.

But my clutch is soft, I bench bled my master cylinder(which is new) and i bled it by the slave cylinder(which is new). I adjusted the pedal assuming it might be that but its adjusted as much as it can go.

The car starts engaging too early when i try to pull away and i have to push all the way down on the clutch pedal to engage it. I have alot of play too.

Could it be the wrong slave cylinder? (due to some people at autozone cant tell the difference between one code for a part and another)

Im 21 and losing my hair over something dumb like this.Ha!

Try to adjust the master cylinder rod so its fully extended, then keep bleeding it. Then adjust the pedal after its fully bled.
The part number for the slave should had been 11785 at autozone. I just bought mine there and it works fine.

probably because you have a soft pressure plate?

You should be able to deal with these issues by adjusting the clutch MC rod

I don't know exactly the name of this part but it has a line going into the slave, it's located on the chassis next to the Trans.(under the passenger door) that was my problem. You can just delete that part for a stiffer clutch feel.
