Hey zilvians I have a problem that I hope someone can help me out with..please
So I did a 95 S14 DOHC swap into my s13. The car originally had a SOHC engine with a automatic transmission....before the swap my auto tranny ran great so I decided to keep it when I did the swap...but now after the swap when I put my car in gear it doesn't move. It slowly begins to move around 3000 RPM. But for the most part it wont move.

Can it be that its a SOHC transmission and not a DOHC transmission?? Need more oil?? Not aligned right??
I've been trying to figure it out but don't know what it can be?

Please help someone

perhaps wrong pilot bushing on the back of the engine (5 speed engine may have had different pilot bushing), or something wierd with crank angle sensor...

dunno, I have done the swap the other way, older engine, to a newer transmission and it worked fine. (minus overdrive)

I thought pilot bushing was on the tranny itself and the crank angle sensor was meant to keep the engine from stating if not positioned right. But mine turns on and doesn't accelerate when put in gear. Maybe the teeth weren't positioned right??
